Hard red winter wheat basis bids were steady to firmer on Wednesday as harvest advanced. US winter wheat harvest continued to push northward through Kansas with good test weights reported and wide-ranging yields. Conditions were improving as harvest moved north.
Protein premiums for rail car wheat to and through Kansas City climbed 2 cents a bushel for 11.00 percent protein wheat and 1 cent for 11.60- and 11.80-pro wheat. Kansas City Board of Trade July wheat ended down 11-1/4 ccents on Tuesday at $8.39-3/4.
