Modest activity on grain market

Modest business was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Thursday in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereals side wheat old (Bardan) and new (bardan) were higher by Rs 10 to Rs 2510-2525, other items did not show any change during the day, they said.
On the grams sector yellow peas Canada was up by Rs 50 to Rs 3950-4150, yellow peas dal from Canada picked up the same amount to Rs 4400-4550, yellow peas Ukraine also followed the same patter and picked up the equal amount to Rs 3850-4050, and yellow peas dal Ukraine gained Rs 100 to Rs 4300-4450, they said. On the seeds side cottonseeds oilcake with bag low type retained its overnight level at Rs 1350 while the good quality inched up by Rs 5 to Rs 1425,they said. Prices on the rice sector fluctuated but closed at the weekend levels, they said.
