Copper rose 3 percent on Tuesday, its biggest one-day rally in nearly three months, driven by data from China and the United States that pointed to better growth prospects for the world's two largest economies. In New York, the July COMEX copper contract gained 12.05 cents to settle at $4.155 per lb.
Aluminium closed at $2,627 from $2,590 a tonne at the finish on Monday. Tin closed at $25,650 from $24,795 a tonne, having hit its lowest since December at $24,510. Zinc, untraded at the close, was bid at $2,280 from $2,248 a tonne and lead ended at $2,580 from $2,535 a tonne. Nickel was at $22,315 from $22,275 a tonne.
