The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and Swedish Ministry of Trade and Foreign Affairs would work hand in hand to expedite bilateral trade between Pakistan and Sweden by exploring new business avenues in the two countries.
According to the LCCI spokesman, networking between women entrepreneurs in Sweden and Pakistan would further be strengthened and in this regard, a 10-member delegation of LCCI businesswomen headed by Aasia Saail Khan and Saeeda Nazar visited Sweden and had a number of high profile meetings with business counterparts and policy makers. The purpose of visit was to enhance women entrepreneurship and empowerment in business.
The initiative, taken by the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce having support of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs in partnership with Embassy of Pakistan in Sweden, was aimed at encouraging and empowering women in business. The focus of the delegation's visit was mainly placed on the training and exposure of the delegates, who were also connected with the right kind of associations and market key players who could become suitable ally and future potential business partners.
Charlotte Kalin Nyberg, Vice President of the Stockholm Chamber played a pivotal role in materialising this delegation. The Embassy of Pakistan in Sweden put dedicated efforts in organising the meetings of delegates with relevant Swedish counterparts. A comprehensive workshop of delegates was also organised at Stockholm Chamber of Commerce on doing business with Sweden & European Union, internationalising of businesses besides women empowerment.
The delegation also met Ewa Bjorling, Minister for Trade, Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, Aasia Saail leader of the delegation and Saeeda Nazar, Executive Committee Member, LCCI discussed various issues of core significance in improving the business and trade relations between Pakistan and Sweden.
