The Chief Justice Lahore High Court, on Friday disposed of a petition when director general PWD informed the court that the petitioner, a lady executive engineer of PWD has been posted to central civil division. Mrs Humera Khurram Khan replied in positive when the chief justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry asked her whether she was satisfied with her posting and the chief justice directed the DG PWD not to disturb the posting of the petitioner unnecessarily.
Mrs Khurram pleaded that she had been treated as rolling stone and had not been allowed to function because of the whims of higher authorities of the ministry. She said she was promoted as executive engineer on December 22, 2010 and posted at central civil division No III, PWD, Lahore following her postings order issued on April 13, 2011.
She was to replace Zubair Ahmad, but he managed to withdraw her notification of posting. She complained to authorities concerned and after the agitation her posting order was again issued on April 21 and the respondent Zubair Ahmad was directed to report to Islamabad.
Finally, she assumed the charge on April 22 but to her utter surprise the respondent Zubair was again assigned back on May 16 and she was ordered to relive duties. The petitioner through her counsel pleaded that the order of May 16 was totally illegal and based on mala fide and prayed to set aside the impugned order.
