Vietnam to auction 3.9tn dong bonds this week

HANOI: Vietnam's Hanoi stock exchange will hold two auctions this week to sell bonds worth a combined 3.9 trillion Vietnamese dong ($187 million) for the State Treasury and a policy bank, the exchange said.

The State Treasury will sell three-year and five-year bonds on Thursday, each for 1 trillion dong, while the Vietnam Development Bank will offer 1 trillion dong of government-guaranteed three-year debt and 900 billion dong of five-year paper on Friday.

At the last auction on Dec. 8, the treasury sold 500 billion dong of three-year bonds, the entire amount offered, at a yield of 12.10 percent.
