IGP Sindh inaugurates well-equipped 15 Call Centre

KARACHI: The Inspector General of Police Sindh, A.D. Khawaja on Monday performed the inauguration of well-equipped 15 Madadgar call centre. Police said that a detailed briefing was also arranged on the occasion.
In his remarks, the IGP Sindh was of the view that this international-standard facility would prove to be a milestone in enhancing the performance of the police in its fight against the crimes.
He stated that this response centre would also be of immense significance in the role of the Citizen-Police Liaison Committee (CPLC).
It was further pointed out that with this latest centre, the problem of prank calls would almost be eliminated.
Prank calls not only waste time and resources but also hinder the emergency work. Therefore, awareness should be created that there should not be any room for the prank calls, the IGP stressed.
The Madadgar 15 motorcycles would also be equipped with latest body cameras, Additional IG Mushtaq Mahar, informed.
The IGP said that the monthly budget of Sindh Police Welfare has crossed Rs.55 million.
Process would also be initiated soon for provision of latest facilities at the Police hospital in Garden area here.
A tour of Foreigners Registration Cell Special Branch was also arranged. The visitors praised the steps taken by the IGP to improve the performance of the police.
CPLC chief Zubair Habib on the occasion maintained that the newly equipped Madadgar 15 would prove to be a game-changer in helping police control crimes in Karachi.
