Samsung ups its game by giving Galaxy Note 8 to 200 air passengers

The phone manufacturer Samsung gave away 200 of its newly launched phone Galaxy Note 8 to flight passengers and that too for free as a gesture to overcome its last year’s mistake.

The flight was travelling from one city of Spain, La Coruña, to another, Madrid, where the passengers were met with a huge surprise. Last year, due to Galaxy Note 7’s battery mishap, the phone was banned at all the airlines. Thus, this time Samsung took it to another level to reassure that Galaxy Note 8 is completely safe to carry on a plane.

The giveaway was organized by Samsung Spain on a domestic flight. The phones were served in trays during the flight by the flight attendants. The aim of the free giveaway of the mobile phones was to show the world, its customers and its competitors that the company has recovered from the past issues and is now way better than before, according to WCCF Tech.

Samsung’s phone crowned ‘Gadget of the Year’

All the 200 passengers on the plane received a free Samsung Galaxy Note 8 with a message on the box. “A year ago, we asked you to turn it off. We welcome you today on board,” the message read, as CNET translated.

After the short gift distributing ceremony, Samsung Spain tweeted:

“AT SAMSUNG, WHEN WE FALL, WE NOT ONLY RISE BACK UP – WE LEARN TO FLY!” (Translation)

Here is the video clip of the distribution ceremony in the plane.
