KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Tuesday at 22,113.55 points with a negative change of -416.40 and volume of 134,083,400 shares. High and Low were 22,529.95 and 21,908.62 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 2 were up, 28 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 184,225,830 shares. Total companies traded were 386 of which 64 were positive, 303 were negative and 19 were unchanged.

Power Generation and Distribution was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 78,443,300 shares. It was followed by Commercial Banks with a total traded volume of 14,684,900 shares.

The top three advancers were Island Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 989.95 (46.75), Khyber Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 500 and price per share of 970.17 (46.19), Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Company Ltd. with a volume of 4,100 and price per share of 750 (17.83).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 60 and price per share of 12,899 (-101.00), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,100 and price per share of 1,660.40 (-65.60), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 880 and price per share of 1,711.50 (-63.50).
