Midfielder Ishrat Fatima of Sports Sciences Department Punjab University will become first-ever captain of Pakistan Women Football team when Pakistan takes on India at Dhaka's Bangabandhu National Stadium in five-nation League of 11th South Asian Games 2010 on January 31. The Bangladeshi capital would host the 12-day show from January 29 to February 8. Balochistan United's skipper Riffat Mehdi will assist Fatima.
The 19-player squad is comprised of Ishrat Fatima (skipper), Shumaila Sattar, Naima Mukhtar, Shagufta Akhtar, Sahar Zaman, Malaika Noor, S. Mahapara, Humera Nazir, Rafia Perveen, Saba Barkatullah, Nadia Bhatti, Riffat Mehdi (Vice- Captain), Sohaila Zareen, Shehla Baloch, Shahida, Asma Usman, Hajra Khan, Mejzgaan Orakzai and Abeeha Masood. The officials will be Farishtay Ali Sharifi, (Manager), Muhammad Rasheed (Coach), Kiran Ilyas, Shaista Leghari (Assistant Coaches).
