The total investment, since inception, is over USD $110 million. We provide employment to 2,028 persons and have contributed Rs 1.861 billion in the shape of direct and indirect taxes for the last financial year ended June 30, 2008. This investment excludes an ongoing expansion program for our detergent powder producing capacity which is in progress and will cost over USD $20 million.
Colgate Fabric Care offers a complete range of detergents that cater to the needs of every consumer segment with a promise to keep fabrics clean and fresh. Colgate brands like Brite, Express Power and Bonus are household names that have earned the confidence and trust of consumers all over Pakistan. An example of this continuous improvement is New Brite Maximum Power.
Its formulation has been developed with enhanced stain and dirt removing action, so the clothes stay clean and stain-free while retaining their color and protecting their fibers. Similarly, Express Power - the leader in the popular segment - was re-launched with an improved image and formulation, contributing to the striking growth of the brand.
Pakistan's largest selling detergent Bonus Tristar is also a brand of Colgate Palmolive and continues to enjoy the leadership position by catering to the needs of the masses.
Pakistan being a developing country bears a population that is largely unaware about oral health and hygiene. As a leader in Oral Care in Pakistan, Colgate Palmolive took the initiative to increase awareness about oral health and its success is driven by the close relationship it has forged with dental professionals under the company's professional program. The program unites various bodies of dental professionals, such as Pakistan Dental Association and many dental colleges and institutions in working towards a shared objective. True to its commitment, Colgate is always looking for new ways to create oral health awareness and emphasise the importance of dental hygiene and regular dental check-ups.
Colgate's Oral Care category in Pakistan has been growing and continues to grow with constant innovation in this category. Currently, there are five variants, each catering to a different segment: Colgate Great Regular Flavour, Colgate Herbal, Colgate Misvak, Colgate Max Fresh and Colgate Total. Complementing toothpaste is the complete range of Colgate toothbrushes, which further enhance the Colgate equity. Currently, Sparkle toothpaste enjoys a leading position, though, in the lower end of the market.
In the Surface Care category, Colgate enjoys leadership. The complete range of Max products that includes dish-washing bars, liquid gels, scourers, bleaches and pastes provide a superior cleaning by removing grease efficiently. Not only does it guarantee spotless cleaning but also remains gentle on the hands. There is little doubt that Surface Care continues to be the forté of Colgate Palmolive Pakistan.
Personal Care at Colgate is devoted to providing consumers with unforgettable beauty experiences.
