KARACHI:  BRINDEX-30 closed lower on Thursday having 23,197.43 points with a negative change of 386.86 and volume of 50,411,700 shares.

High and Low were 23,774.85 and 23,197.43 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 146,620,510 shares.

TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 25,108,000 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 23,032,800 shares.

The three top traded companies were Aisha Steel Mill with a volume of 7,896,500 and price per share of 18.87 (0.16), Dewan Motors with a volume of 4,799,500 and price per share of 36.18 (1.57) and Ittefaq Iron Ind Ltd with a volume of 4,489,000 and price per share of 31.78 (1.37).

The top three advancers were Nestle Pakistan with price per share 10400.00 (200.00), Abbott Lab.with price per share of 912.00 (28.95) and Wyeth Pak Ltd share of 2129.99 (21.99).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize with price per share of 6800.00 (200.00), Service Ind.Ltd with price per share of 1295.00 (37.67) and National Refinery share of 629.22 (32.56).
