Pakistan star all rounder Shahid Afridi, has called for Pakistan cricket authorities to utilise the outgoing duo Misbah ul Haq and Younis Khan for the betterment of domestic cricket.
In a video message on social media, the former captain heaped praise towards Younis and Misbah for their services to Pakistan cricket.
“I would like to say thanks to both, on my personal behalf and on country’s behalf as well, for their services to Pakistan Cricket.”
Afridi, who post retirement has been active in improving domestic cricket structure said that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should utilize the services of Misbah and Younis after their retirement to improve domestic cricket.
“We always talk about improving domestic cricket on the media, these two have been playing domestic cricket regularly and know inside out of the problems faced by our domestic cricketers,” Afridi said.
“PCB should use them for improving the domestic cricket structure,” he added.
The veteran duo will end their Test career, one as Pakistan’s leading Test scorer i.e. Younis, while Misbah would step out as the country’s most successful captain.
