PSO and Atlas Power ink fuel supply accord

Published Updated

Atals Power Limited and Pakistan State Oil have entered into a fuel supply arrangement for Atlas' planned 213MW independent power project (IPP). The document was initiated at a ceremony at PSO House. Strategic Planning Group Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Atlas Honda Pakistan Limited Saquib H. Shirazi, and Managing Director and CEO of PSO Jalees Ahmed Siddiqui represented the two sides.
Under the arrangement, the PSO will provide total furnace oil requirement of 213MW for Atlas power plant located at Lahore-Shaikhupura road. This is significant in the backdrop of growing energy demand of the country and also due to the fact that during the last 11 years, this is the first agreement initiated between the IPP and PSO.
Atlas Group is a leading business house in Pakistan, having diversified portfolio consisting of automobiles, engineering, financial and trading services. The arrangement endorses PSO's strength as leading energy company and its commitment to the energy sector of Pakistan.
Kalim A. Siddiqui, Executive Director, Customer Services, PSO, Yacoob Sattar, Executive Director, Finance & IT, PSO, and Maqsood A. Basra, CEO, Atlas Power Limited, along with senior officials of both the organisations were also present on this occasion.-PR
