ISLAMABAD: Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, sale of sacrificial animals in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi is in full swing despite high prices complaints by the buyers at the markets.
People in large numbers visited animal markets in an effort to buy a sacrificial animal. "There are not a fix rates and concerned authorities should regulates the prices", said Rahmat Shah, a buyer.
An average of sheep or goat is available for Rs 20,000 to 30,000 while light weight are sold for Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 while healthy goats and sheep are available at Rs 40,000 to 10,0000.
Besides the small animals, rates of bulls and cows are very high which start from Rs 50,000 to Rs 200,000 according to their health weight and race.
"Only few animals are now left with me and the sales have been more than my expectations," said a Ghulam Hussain an animals dealer at makeshift sale point.
Rahim Khan, a buyer at Animal market said that they are four brothers and will buy a cow or bull jointly for sacrifice as high prices do not allow us to buy the animal individually.
He said that the goat is no more affordable for him and this is good to celebrate Eid and offer a sacrifice of a joint animal.

This is new trend that people like to buy decorated animal and due to decoration the high prices demanded.
