US envoy calls on Peshawar University's vice chancellor

The Cultural Affairs Officer in the United States Embassy at Islamabad, T.J Grubisha on Wednesday called on Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar, Professor Dr Haroon Rashid and discussed issues of mutual interest with special focus on academic and cultural exchange programmes between educational institutions of the two countries.
It was also mutually agreed to further strengthen scholarly links and relations of the University of Peshawar with the reputed universities of the US for the academic growth. T. J Grubisha was briefed about the academic, research and developmental programmes of the University of Peshawar.
Speaking on the occasion, the vice-chancellor acknowledged the efforts of the US government for taking special interest in the establishment of Linkon Corner at the Central Library of the University of Peshawar, which has now become an open window to the whole word.
