ISLAMABAD: The name of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) CEO Bernd Hildenbrand has been put on the Exit Control List (ECL).
According to the latest media reports, a notification to place the name of PIAs German CEO was issued by Deputy Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Admin Lahore, Khawaja Hammadur Rehman on Wednesday.
The copy of the notification has been posted on all the major airports. It mentions that Hildenbrand should not be allowed to depart from the country.
According to sources, an inquiry against him is underway for purchasing aircrafts at exorbitant prices from a Sri Lankan airline. It is alleged that PIA lost several million dollars as a result of the deal.
