The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly shifted its attention towards Nasir Jamshed, as it was learnt that the board was keeping a close watch on the former batsman, who was a key player in the spot fixing scandal that emerged during the second edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).
As per media reports citing sources, Jamshed has been contacted by the PCBs Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) and will be interrogated in the near future.
Nasir Jamshed was also provisionally suspended on charges of being a go between in the PSL spot fixing scandal. Earlier, Jamshed and another unnamed person were arrested in the UK last month.
Earlier, fast bowler Muhammad Irfan was suspended by the cricket board and a charge sheet was issued against him.
The Pakistan Cricket Board in furtherance to its investigation into potential corrupt practices has issued a Notice of Charge to Mohammad Irfan under the PCB Anti-Corruption Code. Irfan has been charged with two violations of Code Article 2.4.4 and now has 14 days to respond to the Notice of Charge. He has also been provisionally suspended with immediate effect from participating in all forms of cricket, Read the PCB statement.
Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif were also provisionally suspended and later charged over meeting a man suspected of being linked to an international syndicate.
