PEMRA to hold meeting on deteriorating standards of TV programmes

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) will hold a consultative meeting on deteriorating standards of television programmes on March 16.

PEMRA had received a number of complaints from the viewers of various television channels regarding dramas, commercials and morning shows being telecast by them, a press release Monday said.

To address the grievances of public, PEMRA would discuss with Pakistan Broadcasters Association and representatives of private television channels in detail to bring improvement in quality and standards of the programmes.
