KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed lower on Friday having 49158.81 points with a negative change of 233.63 and volume of 78,116,280 shares.

High and Low were 49456.39 and 49048.95 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 182,738,290shares with 362 total traded companies out of which 132 were up 221 were down and 9 were unchanged.

COMMERCIAL BANKS was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 26,150,400 shares. It was followed by CEMENT with a total traded volume of 15,494,000 shares.

The three top traded companies were Azgard Nine. with a volume of 8,657,500 and price per share of 10.55 (0.22), Byco Petroleum with a volume 6,268,500 of price per share of 22.26 (0.37), Sui North Gas. with a volume 5,815,500 of price per share of 134.55 (1.59).

The top three advancers were Unilever Foods with price per share 5747.36 (273.68), Rafhan Maize with price per share of 7800.00 (50.00) and Philip Morris Pak. share of 2376.99 (43.99).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 2521.03 (132.68), Mari Petroleum with price per share of 1335.00 (34.41) and Khyber Tobacco share of 1000.00 (33.70)
