The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders has rejected reports that the franchise owner Shahrukh Khan has offered to hold a three-match series with Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions Peshawar Zalmi on Thursday.
The Kolkata Knight Riders tweeted, KKR won't be playing any unauthorized games/leagues as some false reports are claiming. No such communication happened from our end.

Javed Afridi too rejected the reports, said that there is no truth in the reports being circulated in the media.
"We always welcome cricket for peace, but there is no truth about @KKRiders & @PeshawarZalmi matches just speculations. Verily respect for," tweeted Javed Afridi.

Earlier, it was reported that Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has suggested organizing a match between Pakistan Super League (PSL) champion Peshawar Zalmi and his IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at a neutral venue.
As per previous reports, Shahrukh Khan congratulated Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi, and offered a match between the winners of T20 champions, if governments of both Pakistan and India permitted.
Meanwhile, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani has invited Peshawar Zalmi to Afghanistan. The Zalmis Javed Afridi has accepted the invitation.
Moreover, Afghan Deputy Foreign Minister Hekmat Karzai spoke to Javed Afridi and congratulated him on the victory and on behalf of the president, inviting the team to visit Afghanistan. Karzai called Zalmi Khpal (own) team.
Zalmis lifted the PSL trophy after victory over the Quetta Gladiators by 58 runs on Sunday at Lahore.
