ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable with minor fluctuation in some items in the federal capital here on Tuesday.
According to the Islamabad Market Committee Price List issued here, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.
Potato sold at Rs 25 per kilogram, Onion Rs 30, Tomato Rs 50,Ginger Rs 105, Garlic (China) Rs 290, Garlic Local 350, Lemon Rs 64, Lady Finger Rs 105, Pumpkin Rs 68, Brinjal Rs 46, Peas Rs 52, Fresh Bean Rs 46, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 50, Cucumber Rs 48, Capsicum Rs 80/60, Green Chilli Rs 58, Cauliflower Rs 25/20, Cabbage Rs 30, Bitter Gourd Rs 110, Spinach Rs 16/12, Radish Rs 14, Turnip Rs 25,Yam Rs 68, Maroo Rs 42, Carrot Rs 23, Chicken Rs 97 and Egg per dozen Rs 143.
Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 85/116, Apple Golden Rs 60/92, Apple White Rs 50/84, Apple China Rs 120/150, Banana Pak Rs 48/88, Grapes Toffee Rs 130/155, Guava 50/82, Pomegranate Rs 130/175, Musumi Rs 125/155, Shakri Rs 130/162, Kino Rs 45/60, Fruiter Rs 90/55, Pear China Rs 145/120.
The people are asked to ensure that they are sold vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
