KARACHI: Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar here on Friday called on Governor Sindh, Justice (Retd) Saeed uz Zaman Siddiqui. A Governor House statement said that the overall law and order situation in the province and other matters of importance came up for discussion.
Governor said that owing to the ongoing operation the usual hustle bustle has been restored in the metropolis. Economic, cultural as well as social activities have also been fostered which augurs well.
It instilled confidence among the people.
At the meeting it was also pointed out that the Army, Rangers and Police as well as other law enforcement agencies have given immense sacrifices for the cause of peace and that these contributions would not be allowed to go in vain.
The political and military leadership is unanimous that the ongoing operation would continue till the restoration of complete peace.
Governor praised the role of the Corps Commander Lt. Gen. Naveed Mukhtar and lauded his services.
The Corps Commander also inquired about the welfare of Governor Sindh and prayed for his early and complete recovery.
