KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Wednesday having 42974.76 points with a positive change of 25.03 and volume of 149,085,370 shares.

High and Low were 43066.84 and 42907.07 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 502,425,060 shares with 391 total traded companies out of which 218 were up 162 were down and 11 were unchanged.

TECHNOLOGY & COMMUNICATION was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 58,770,000 shares. It was followed by TEXTILE COMPOSITE. with a total traded volume of 55,012,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were Amtex Limited. with a volume of 28,322,500 and price per share of 3.90 (0.81), Media Times Ltd with a volume 23,379,500 of price per share of 5.38 (0.38), Azgard Nine with a volume 22,137,000 of price per share of 9.28 (0.16).

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share 4610.00 (87.46), Sanofi-Aventis with price per share of 2189.99 (79.04) and Service Ind.Ltd share of 1539.99 (62.64).

The top three decliners were Rafhan Maize(XD).. with price per share of 7560.00 (-140.00), Philip Morris Pak. with price per share of 1920.00 (-96.35) and Archroma Pak share of 770.13 (-14.79).
