KARACHI: Pakistan Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman on Thursday expressed that Pakistan is not worried about any threat from India.
According to Express Tribune, we are not worried about India at all, Sohail Aman said while speaking at the ninth International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS). India should show restraint and instead solve the issue of Kashmir as that would be better for them, he added.
Aman further said that Pakistan does not want war but is capable of sustaining any kind of pressure. We are well capable of responding in the face of any aggression, he upheld.
Pakistan and India have been exchanging fire during the past couple of months across the Line of Control. The previous day, Indian armed forces resorted to unprovoked firing across the LoC, martyring 12 Pakistanis, including three soldiers.
Earlier on Thursday, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reiterated that the government will not back off from supporting Kashmiris, saying that firing on innocent civilians is intolerable. He called upon the international community to take notice of Indian brutality and play role in the resolution of Kashmir dispute.
