MILAN: Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti is expected to be ruled out until January after suffering a knee injury during last weekend's defeat to Lazio.
Pavoletti, Genoa's top scorer with three goals in nine appearances, was replaced on the hour mark of a 3-1 defeat to the capital club at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
Tests later revealed a "sprain to the left knee with damage to the internal collateral ligament", according to the Serie A club.
Pavoletti has already missed three games due to injury this season.
Genoa sit in 12th place in Serie A at 17 points behind leaders and champions Juventus.
