Acquitted in murder case

Additional District & Sessions Judge acquitted Hafiz Khalid and others involved in murder of Yousaf Kazab, who was killed in Jail. The accused Hafiz Khalid had allegedly killed Kazab in Kotlakhpat jail on June 11 2002. The other accused Shakeel Ahmed and Mushtaq were facing charge of providing arms to Hafiz in the jail.
Their counsel Syed Zafar Iqbal Gillani contended before the court that the accused were not involved in the case. He said that the evidences against them were not correct and against the facts. He said that there was no direct evidence against the accused and prayed to the court to acquit them. The court, after hearing the arguments of the counsel acquitted all the accused as the prosecution failed to prove its case.
