President General Pervez Musharraf has appointed Air Marshal Tanvir Mahmood Ahmed (Pak/5700) as Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force with effect from March 19, a notification of the Defence Ministry said.
The president has granted Air Marshal Tanvir Mahmood Ahmed the rank of Air Chief Marshal on assumption of the appointment.
