LONDON: West African crude differentials remained under downward pressure due to an excess of cargoes and competition from other regions.
Iran's crude and condensate sales probably reached some 2.8 million barrels per day (bpd) in September while Russian oil output rose 4 percent to a record.
NIGERIA
The first cargoes of Qua Iboe and Forcados had not yet loaded, according to Reuters ship tracking data.
The vessels Los Angeles Spirit and South Sea were waiting to load Qua Iboe for Vitol and Gunvor, respectively, while the Everbright was waiting to load Forcados for Shell.
Both Qua Iboe and Forcados remained under force majeure, and some buyers were reluctant to purchase it due to concerns over reliability.
October Nigerian crude exports were expected to reach at least 1.62 million bpd, above Angola's 1.43 million bpd for the first time since March.
ANGOLA
China's Unipec bought several cargoes last week but buying was muted on Monday as the country began national holidays.
While Angolan cargoes have traded more quickly, differentials have faced downward pressure due to an overall excess of physical oil.
State oil company Sonangol was offering Girassol at flat to dated Brent and Nemba at a 20 cent discount.
