imageAfter a convincing victory against current Twenty20 Champions West Indies at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday night, the green shirts would be all pumped-up to clinch the T20 series by winning the second match today (Saturday).

The Asian titans defeated the Calypso Kings by nine wickets, after West Indies were decimated by a clinical display of spin by Pakistan off spinner Imad Wasim, who grabbed five wickets for 14 runs, becoming the first spinner form the country to take a five wicket haul in T20 Internationals.

"(We lost because of) poor execution, (their) good bowling, you know we are an aggressive, exciting team, two games ago we scored 240 odd and today we scored 115," said West Indies skipper Carlos Brathwaite, reported ESPNcricinfo.

West Indies lose their way early, after the batsmen continued to throw away wickets, playing loose shots, "We have ebbs and follows ups and downs, today it just didn't come off for us. I don't think we assessed the conditions quickly enough. Majority of the shots didn't show situation awareness”, said Brathwaite.

Whereas, the result was a much needed victory for Pakistan’s fresh captain Sarfraz Ahmed. The skipper was of the view that his side won the match by a proper assessment of the conditions. “We knew how the pitch will behave and the spinners got help from the grass on the track,” he said.

Pakistan leads the three-match series 1-0, and the second match will start at 09.00 pm PST tonight.

Pakistan Squad: Sarfraz Ahmed (captain), Khalid Latif, Sharjeel Khan, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Hasan Ali, Rumman Raees, Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal and Saad Nasim.

West Indies Squad: Carlos Brathwaite (captain), Dwayne Bravo, Samuel Badree, Johnson Charles, Andre Fletcher, Jason Holder, Evin Lewis, Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Nicholas Pooran, Rovman Powell, Marlon Samuels, Chadwick Walton, Jerome Taylor and Kesrick Williams.
