An accountability court on Saturday adjourned till August 4, the proceedings in a reference against former federal minister and secretary-general PPPP Jehangir Badr for recording evidence of the defence witnesses. The accused has been facing the charges of corruption and making illegal assets in excess of his income.
Moreover, another accountability court put off the proceedings till August 5, in a reference against acting president PML-N Javed Hashmi MNA, as his brother sought time to submit his reply before the court.
Earlier, the court has directed Hashmi's brother Nasir Ali Shah to submit details of his properties.
The accused Javed Hashmi is facing the charges of corruption and making illegal assets in excess of his income.
Similarly, another accountability court adjourned the proceedings till August 4 in a reference against former commissioner income tax Amjad Ali Khan.
The court directed the investigating officer to record the statement of the accused on next date of hearing.
The accused is facing the charges of corruption and making illegal assets in excess of his income. He is further facing the charges of misusing his office as commissioner income tax.
