Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Sikandar Hayat, condemning London bomb explosions, has urged Britain, America and Europe to avoid linking terrorism with Islam because terrorists have no religion. He was speaking at a meeting of party workers with Central President of the Muslim Conference Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan in chair at Slough Community Centre.
The session was organised by Muslim Conference UK Convenor Mahmood Riaz in the outskirts of London the other day. The terrible incident of 9/11, 7/7 and attempted explosions in London underground system on Thursday were terrorist incidents, he said adding "whosoever is involved in terrorism have no religion."
Sikandar also called upon the international community to play its requisite role in addressing the root causes of terrorism by removing the injustices in many parts of the world.
He appealed the US to respect feelings of both the developing and oppressed nations by showing regard to their sovereignty.
Referring to re-organisation of Muslim Conference across Britain, he said that he himself and Sardar Attique would be personally overseeing it.
Speaking on the occasion Central President of Muslim Conference Sardar Attique Ahmed said the current Pak-India composite dialogue was result of a successful Kashmir policy and acumen of President General Pervez Musharraf which brought India to the negotiating table.
He strongly condemned London bomb blasts and said Islam forbade killing of innocent people.
Attique urged British Kashmiris to fully co-operate with British police in its investigation and to eliminate terrorism.
AJK leader said the rights enjoyed by all communities across UK, were nowhere else available to them. Britain had given them rights, jobs and modern education and some of their members reached to the House of Commons and House of Lords. So they should promote positive thinking at their mosques, wedding and community gatherings and adopt responsible behaviour.
Convenor of the party Mahmood Riaz, member AJK Legislative Assembly for Overseas British Kashmiris in Britain Chaudhry Mohammad Khan and former Vice President of MC UK Raja Mohammad Ayub also spoke.
The meeting also adopted a resolution to condemn terrorism and London blasts. It expressed its heart-felt condolences to families of the victims and said British Kashmiris resolved to collectively work with authorities to eliminate terrorism. The resolution also condemned human rights violations taking place in Indian held Kashmir.
