HYDERABAD: Around 1,33,438 Pakistan Cards have been issued to heads of rain affected families in three worst affected districts of Badin, Tando Mohammad Khan and Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah) up to October,7.
According to media cells established by Sindh Information Department at Regional and District Information Offices, a total of 37 NADRA Centres have been established in these three districts and the number of these centres is being gradually increased to facilitate the rain victims up to grassroots level.
Presently, 15 NADRA Centres are working in district Badin where 96829 Pakistan Cards have been issued by October 7, to family heads of rain victims and the process is in full swing.
Similarly, 16 NADRA Centres have been put in place at district Shaheed Benazirabad where till October 7, 2011 a total of 16474 Pakistan Cards have been issued while 20135 Pakistan Cards have been issued in District Tando Mohammad Khan where six NADRA Centres are working.
The D.C.O. Tando Mohammad Khan Barkat Ahmed Rizvi has informed that three more NADRA Centres would start functioning in his district from October 10, and the work of issuance of Pakistan Cards would be further expedited.
