Paktel, one of the oldest cellular phone company, has announced free roaming service all over Pakistan to its pre and post paid customers.
The offer would be effective from August and the customers would enjoy free roaming facility country wide. A customer with Paktel number could receive incoming calls free of roaming charges anywhere in the country.
Earlier, the cellular customers of Paktel and Tango were enjoying free roaming service only between Sindh and Balochistan & vice versa and NWFP and Punjab and vice versa.
Paktel National Manager Marketing Akbar Khan said the service was aimed to keep our pre and post paid customers happy with a message that the company cared for them. This facility would also facilitate our customers to use the service whilst travelling, he said adding the service was also to reassure our existing customers that TDMA service would remain continue to operate in the future too, he assured.
He said the company had also enhanced the validity of their Tango pre paid card facility up to one year.
Now the customers could use any card of 600 or Rs 900 denomination for the whole year.
The company had been operating for a long time in Pakistan and the word Paktel was commonly synonymous with mobile phones. Currently, the company had a subscriber base of about 400,000 and was all set to launch its own GSM network throughout the country with very competitive rates and a high reliability service.
Paktel GSM network was expected to increase its subscriber base to over two million with the coverage in more than 150 cities and towns.
