ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Market Committee on Tuesday issued price list of vegetables and fruits for Ramzan/Sasta Bazaars set up at Pakistan Town, Bhara Kahu and Tarlai areas.
According to a spokesman of the market, the rates of vegetables at the Ramzan/Sasta Bazaars of Islamabad are as under:
Potato per kilogram is Rs 27, Potato Store Rs 23, Onion Rs 24, Tomato Rs 30, Ginger Rs 78, Garlic desi Rs 168, Garlic (China) Rs 160, Lemon desi Rs 95, Lady Finger Rs 50, Pumpkin Rs 42, Brinjal Rs 33, Peas Rs 115, Farsh Bean Rs 73, Tanda Walaiti Rs 54, Tanda desi Rs 65, Cucumber Rs 28, Capsicum Rs 50/33, Green Chilli Rs 42, Cauliflower Rs 65/35, Cabbage Rs 37, Bitter gourd Rs 38, Green Zucchini Rs 38, Spinach Rs 34, Turnip Rs 47, Maroo Rs 48, Yam Rs 55, Carrot Rs 52, Chicken Rs 154 per kg and Egg per dozen Rs 78.
Likewise, he said that rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Sasta Bazaars are as follows: Apple Kala Kulo Rs 140/120, Apple White Rs 95/65, Apple Ambri Rs 85/58, Apple China Rs 200/180, Apple New Zealand Rs 255/230, Banana Pak Rs 135/90, Banana Ind Rs 175/140, Pear China Rs 170, Apricot Swat Rs 100/80, Apricot Kabli Rs 142/125, Melon desi Rs 32/25, White Melon Rs 30/24, Water Melon Rs 19/14, Peach Rs 100/70, Mango Sundhari Rs 120/90, Mango Maldeh Rs 64/45, Mango Almas Rs 55/40, Mango langra Rs 60/45, Mango Chaunsa White Rs 105/85, Mango Dosari Rs 75/55, Mango Desi Rs 52/35, Plum Rs 110/85, Garma Rs 58/40 and Mango Ratool Rs 110/85.
The spokesman has asked all the people to follow this list and inform authorities at 051-4867762 in case of any complaint against shopkeeprs.
