The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has given duty drawback on export of fountain pen from April 19, 2004.
The CBR has amended standard SRO 415(I)/2001 through SRO (I)/2004 issued here on Monday.
The duty drawback would be 4.04 percent of the fob value on the export of fountain pen.
The imported raw materials include plastic moulding compound (ABS), clip for fountain pen, and nibs for the pen (irridium rolled).
DDB reduced: According to another SRO, the CBR has drastically reduced duty drawback on export of Di-Octyl-Phthalate (DOP) from 16 percent of the fob value to 9.82 percent of the fob value. The reduced rate will be applicable from April 19, 2004.
