Special attention has been accorded on developing far-off and ignored areas aimed at bringing them on equal footings with the developed parts of the district.
In order to improve the means of communications in far-off areas, the Sialkot District Government would spend more than Rs 110 million during the current fiscal period on the completion of on-going and new schemes of farm-to-market roads in Sialkot, Pasrur and Daska tehsils of the district.
As many as 250Km-long link roads have already been constructed in these tehsils for mitigating the travelling difficulties of the people of these areas.

During last year as many as 235 schools have been upgraded, while missing facilities, like classrooms, furniture, washrooms, were being provided in 660 schools of Sialkot, Daska and Pasrur tehsils during the current fiscal period.
In addition to this, two new hostels are under construction in Post-Graduate Women College Sialkot and Allama Iqbal Women College Sialkot costing Rs 40 million, while two new blocks at Hajipura Girls College Sialkot were also being constructed at a cost of Rs 30 million.
The development work on these projects is in full swing and would be accomplished in the stipulated period.
Sources disclosed that approval has been obtained for the reconstruction of 80-bed Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Daska.
The step was taken to ensure maximum health facilities to people of Daska and its adjoining areas at the local level.
Apart from this, the projects of burn centre and trauma centre in Sialkot Medical College are in pipeline.
Medicines worth Rs 40 million have been provided in hospitals and basic health units of the district for providing free medicine facilities to the deserving patients at their doorstep.
