WFP distributes 4,961 ton food among victims
ISLAMABAD: World Food Programme (WFP) has so far distributed 4,961 ton of food items among 368,727 affectees of five districts of flood-hit Sindh province.
In addition to food distributions, WFP is providing logistical support to the entire humanitarian community in the districts including Badin, Mirpurkhas, Benazirabad, Tharparkar and Sanghar.
According to WFP here on Thursday, it has also provided five boats for mobile medical services and rescue-evacuation purposes.
WFP's warehouses have been made operational in some districts with the latest in Umerkot.
The agency has also facilitated the transport of 3,000 tents to target locations for distribution.
