LONDON: Former President Pervez Musharraf, who is currently in self-imposed exile, has said he will return to Pakistan to fulfill the ambitions of the country.
Musharraf, who launched his All Pakistan Muslim League APML party in October 2010, has already announced that he will return to Pakistan by March 23, 2012, and contest next elections. "I am a person who believes if I try and if I'm failing, I will quit," he told The Daily Telegraph. "I have no qualms and no ego. I have governed Pakistan for nine years, very successfully and I have no further ambitions, personal ambitions, my ambition is Pakistan," he added.
Musharraf is wanted by an anti-terrorist court in Pakistan over accusations that he failed to protect former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto from assassination in December 2007.
