FRANKFURT: German stocks opened lower on Monday as investors were left unimpressed by a commitment from G20 finance chiefs to take strong, coordinated action to avoid another global financial crisis.
The blue-chip DAX 30 index opened at 5,128.56 points, a drop of 68 points of 1.31 percent from Friday's close as other European markets also fell sharply in early trade.
