MUMBAI: The Indian rupee fell to its lowest in more than 28 months on Friday, tracking weak Asian shares and as the dollar climbed overseas.
At 9:02 a.m. (0332 GMT), the partially convertible rupee was at 49.52/55 per dollar, after opening at 49.65, its weakest since May 14, 2009.
