LAHORE: The district administration has formed committees at district and Tehsil level for wheat procurement.
A spokesman of district administration Lahore said on Monday, that committees formed at district level consist of seven members and DCO Lahore would be secretary of district committee.
CCPO Lahore, EDO Agriculture, District Food Controller, village representatives Muhammad Jehangir, Muhammad Shehbaz and Muhammad Ishrat would be the members of the committee.
He further said that secretary of the committee formed at Tehsil level would be the Assistant Commissioner concerned while members include SP concerned, field assistant agriculture, food controller concerned and representatives of farmers.
The committees at district and tehsil level would monitor the wheat procurement centres, besides ensuring transparency in the distribution of gunny bags.
The committees would check the arrangements made at wheat procurement centres and also check the attendance of the staff at the centres.
