ISLAMABAD: MNA Amir Ali Khan Magsi has urged NGOs, public welfare organizations and philanthropists to contribute in the flood relief activities
Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that government is using all available resources for relief and rehabilitation of the flood affected people and also appreciated the role of the Pakistan Navy and NGOs in relief and rescue operation in Sindh.
He added that the flood situation in the country this year is more destructive as compared to the one, happened last year; adding that many people have been rendered homeless, cattle flown away, standing crops destroyed and roads communication disrupted. He said lower Sindh including his native district was the worst affected area.
He said that Radio Pakistan should play its role in convincing the nongovernmental organizations, public welfare organizations and philanthropists to come forward and participate wholeheartedly in the relief and rehabilitation of flood affectees.
