strikeQUETTA: A partial strike was observed in different areas of the provincial capital on Wednesday to protest Mastung incident in which 29 people were killing in firing by unknown armed men.

The strike was observed in areas including Hazara Town, Ali Town, New Ali Town, Kirani Road, Alamdar Road and Marriabad areas.

The markets and shops remained closed and traffic remained thin on roads in these areas.

A large number of people including men and women also staged demonstration and took out rallies to protest Mastung incident.

Heavy contingent of law enforcement agencies were deployed in sensitive areas of the city on Wednesday to avoid any untoward incident.
