LONDON: Europe's main stock markets rose at the start of trading on Monday following a strong start to the week for Asian indices.
London's FTSE 100 benchmark index climbed 0.8 percent to 5,995.5 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index jumped 1.0 percent to 9,481.4 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.9 percent to 4,260.6 compared with Friday's close.
