LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has congratulated Chinese President, Prime Minister, Chinese leadership and people on the occasion of the 66th national day of China.
In his message here Wednesday, the chief minister said that China has become the second biggest economic power of the world due to its best economic policies and despite worst recession, it has controlled its economy efficiently.
He said that China has become a defense power in a very short period due to hard work and its credit goes to Chinese leadership.
He said that Pakistan was the first country of the world which recognized Peoples Republic of China as an independent country, adding Pakistan and China have the common stance with regard to mutual respect, peace and international affairs.
He said that new era of Pak-China friendship has started during the tenure of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the relations between both the countries have been changed into useful economic contacts.
The chief minister said that historic economic package of China is an excellent gift and great favour to Pakistani people which Pakistani nation will never forget.
He said that China has supported Pakistan in difficult situation. He said that new era of development and prosperity will usher due to China-Pak Economic Corridor projects.
Shahbaz said that the darkness will be removed from the country due to energy projects being set up under CPEC. He said that Pak-China friendship is considered exemplary in the world and, no doubt, Pak-China friendship is higher than Himalayas, deeper than ocean, sweeter than honey and stronger than steel.
