Rehman Malik directs action against ‘Bhatta Mafia’
KARACHI: Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik directed the officials concerned to initiate a special campaign against elements involved in extortion in Karachi.
He issued these directives while talking to a delegation of business community members at National Crisis Management Cell here on Saturday.
The delegation of business community was led by Siraj Kasim Teli while other prominent personalities included President KCCI, Saeed Shafeeq, Haroon Farooqi, Anjum Nisar, Jawaid Makda and others.
On the occasion, Malik issued directives to the officials concerned on the applications given by delegation.
The interior minister directed the Federal Secretary for Interior to determine the organizations involved in the extortion from business community in Karachi.
IGP Sindh Wajid Ali Durrani and Additional IGP Karachi Saud Mirza were also present in the meeting.
