LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bearish trend by loosing 21.53 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 6194.40 points and closed at 6172.87 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 1.799 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.021 million shares, showing an upward move of 777,600 shares. While, out of the total 93 active scrips 13 moved up, 29 shed values and 51 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Mari Petroleum Company Limited, Pak Elektron Limited and Maple Leaf Cement Factory by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 12.27, Rs 2.37 and Rs 1.11 respectively.
Engro Corporation Limited, Kohat Cement Company Limited and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited lost their per share value by Rs 7.80, Rs 4.50 and Rs 4.25, respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 732,000 shares, Engro Polymer and Chemicals Limited with 200,000 shares and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited with 135,000 shares.
