united_bankKARACHI: United Bank Limited (UBL) has posted a record consolidated profit before tax of Rs6.409 billion for half year ending June 30, 2011 and declared an interim cash dividend of Rs1.50 per share.

According to financial results sent to KSE here Friday, the pre-tax profit of the bank has surged to Rs 9.940 billion compared to Rs8.509 billion in 2010.

The earning per share also improved to Rs5.24 during the period under review as against Rs4.22 last year.
