Suggesting special safety measures, he said the consumers should take special care while using gas appliances to avoid untoward incidents during the winter season.

The gas appliances of good quality should be used and a trained plumber should be engaged to rectify gas leakage in houses.

The Spokesman also asked the people to keep at least one window in a room open while using gas heaters.

The consumers should desist from using electric fan or exhaust fan in case of leakage of gas and keep windows open.

He said the domestic consumers should switch off their heaters and geysers before going to bed to save gas and their precious lives.
